front of pyt philly

PYT, once home to America’s craaaziest burgers, was located in the Piazza in the Northern Liberties neighborhood of Philadelphia.

PYT was known for their dozens of mind-blowing burgers in Philly and boozy Adult Shakes to pick from, they had something for everyone (yup, even your totally weird Uncle Herbert and his prized Pekingese lapdog). Favorites included the Korean BBQ Short Rib Burger! Or their Krispy Kreme Sliders with Chocolate Dipped Bacon! Or the super Philly, a Cheesesteak Pretzel Roll Burger! Or any of their super tasty Adult Shakes. You really couldn’t lose. Unless you didn’t eat there, then you’re on your own.

Some Famous Burgers from PYT

PYT had an ever-changing menu with different burger specials each week. When they were open their were some fan favorites including the following burgers.

The Chicken Sriracha aka The Firebird!

Grilled chicken burger marinated in sriracha & chili spices, topped with lettuce, tomato, sautéed onion & sriracha aioli on a LeBus brioche roll. Served with sriracha battered onion rings, aka Fire Rings, and a spicy pickle spear.

The Christmas Dinner

Buttermilk-fried turkey leg patty topped with spinach, house-made goat cheese & sage mashed sweet potatoes, red wine sauce and crumbled sugar-plum mix. It tastes like Christmas in here.

Pleasant Pheasant

Pheasant is such perfect Christmas season food, so this burger is going to get the holiday season off on the right foot. We start with a ground pheasant & applewood smoked bacon patty, add a warm honey fig sauce, and top it with blue cheese, walnut and honey crisp apple crumble.

The Souf Philly

This sexy beat is a hot Italian sausage & beef patty topped with sauteed broccoli rabe, provolone and sauteed long hots on an Amoroso kaiser roll.

PYT Philly was located at 1050 N Hancock St, Philadelphia PA 19123

With the closing of PYT Philly, the city lost one of the best burger spots. But, have no fear! We’ve put together a list of the best burgers in Philadelphia that you can try, click here to check out who made the list.
